Glitch Role: Signal Break

Fracture the lobby's sense of reality with one focused Impostor role: the Glitch.

Before creating a lobby, the host can enable USE GLITCH? When enabled, exactly one normal Impostor slot is replaced by the Glitch. The Glitch keeps normal Impostor kills, vents, and sabotages, then adds two disruptive powers built around movement and misinformation.

DESYNC

DESYNC swaps the Glitch's position with one nearby living player. Both old locations erupt into cyan and magenta afterimages for four seconds, turning a simple hallway encounter into a broken trail of contradictory evidence.

Initial cooldown: 12 seconds

Cannot target the Glitch, dead players, disconnected players, or players in vents

CORRUPT

CORRUPT attacks one nearby player's perception for 12 seconds. Only the target sees the interference: visible player names shuffle, the task panel reports impossible objectives, screen-wide signal bars flicker, and phantom crewmates jump around their position. Real player data is never rewritten.

Duration: 12 seconds
Host-authorized and delivered only to the selected target

The role includes original Glitch, DESYNC, and CORRUPT artwork; an animated cyan/magenta/purple reveal; and an original digitally synthesized reveal sound.

This CurseForge file is dependency-light: it contains only the Glitch plug-in, documentation, and its embedded original assets. It does not redistribute Among Us, BepInEx, Reactor, MiraAPI, or any base-game file.

Installation

Close Among Us.
Install the required BepInEx IL2CPP x64, Reactor, and MiraAPI versions.
Extract this ZIP into the Among Us game directory. The included DLL lands at BepInEx/plugins/GlitchRoleMod.dll.
Start Among Us normally. The required mod stamp should appear.
Select Create Game and switch on USE GLITCH?

Do not load this file beside the private multi-role AmongUsJester.dll, which already contains the Glitch. The dedicated Glitch plug-in declares that build incompatible and refuses a conflicting load. It can coexist with the separate Jester-only CurseForge project.

Multiplayer and public games

This is an all-client mod. Unmodified players cannot join a modded lobby. The plug-in adds compatible community-operated modded regions for public matches between players running identical builds. Official matchmaking is not bypassed, and community-region availability is not guaranteed.

Removal

Close the game, then remove BepInEx/plugins/GlitchRoleMod.dll. You may also remove BepInEx/config/carol.amongus.glitch.curseforge.cfg. Leave shared BepInEx, Reactor, and MiraAPI files in place if another mod uses them.
