_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Do often find yourself saying "That belongs in a museum!!" as you slaughter enemies only to discover most mobs don't drop their gear? Museum Mob Drops fixes that! I've added the weapons & armors to many of the games mobs as rare drops (most are between 10 - 15% drop rate for one item per item set) so you can curate the museum of your dreams.
This mod is intended to be a 'collectibles' focused mod to give you a reason to grind mobs once you no longer need anything they drop in vanilla. Gear has stats & is wearable.
➡ Patchly Is Now Required ⬅
Why is Patchly Necessary?
Currently the game has no mechanism for merging drop lists. If you have 3 mods that change the droplists for the Skeleton Archer, for example, only one of those mods gets to make the change, the game ignores the other two. Patchly provides the mechanism to merge changes from each mod that provides patches so all the mods get to make their changes so long as they also use Patchly (or similar).
Mob Drops & Drop Rates
The drop rate is per item set, NOT for each individual item. If a mob wears 4 pieces of armor & has a weapon drop (all added by me), you have a 10% chance of getting ONE of those 5 items per kill.
I would love to add a config file for drop rates but I don't know Java 😢
Adjusting the drop rates yourself:
Once the mod is unzipped, you can make changes while the game is running, as frequently as you like. The game will adjust within seconds of you hitting save. The mod does NOT need to be zipped again if you think you'll make more changes.
- Unzip the mod before you start the game. Leave it unzipped (unless / until you are done making changes). You can permanently leave it unzipped too.
- Open the mod folder & go to Server > Drops > NPCs
- All active droplists are in .patch files which can be opend in Notepad, Notepad ++, etc
- Find the droplist you want to edit, open it & find the lines (they are right at the top):
-
"Type": "Choice", "Weight": 15, - Adjust the number next to "Weight". 100 = 100% chance to drop. You can use decimals like 0.05 but you must include the zero before the decimal point if your drop rate is less than 1.
- DO NOT REMOVE THE COMMA OR OTHER PUNCTUATION (if present)
- Press save. If the game is running, it will update within seconds.
If you no longer want a mob to drop something from this mod, delete the .patch file for the mob.

Craftable Armors & Fabric Bolts
There is a new workbench, the loom, which allows you craft fabric bolts from fabric scraps & spiderwebs (silk). There are now numerous craftable armors made from cloth, leather & wood. All of them are vanilla assets that I activated for crafting. There is also the new Black Cloth mage armor which is meant as a basic outfit for armor dummies that just display weapons.

Fabric Armor:
- Cindercloth
- Black Cloth (I created this)
- Copper-Laced Wool
- Cotten
- Linen
- Silk
- Dark Mage (Hytale calls it Necromancer but I changed the name to prevent confusion with the mob)
- Ice Mage (Hytale calls it "trailer mage")
- Silver-Laced Cotton (Beige)
- Silver-Laced Cotten (Red)
- White Mage
- Woolen
Leather Armor:

- Heavy Leather
- Light Leather
- Medium Leather
- Raven
- Soft Leather (coming soon)
Other:

- Wooden Armor (craftable at workbench)
- Iron Bullets (craftable at workbench)

Craftable Storage from Fabric Bolts:
Craftable storage containers that look like stacks of fabric bolts are now craftable at the loom. New decorative-only fabric spools are also crafted at the loom. All my fabric bolts are now placeable too!
Salvage Everything:
All items (should) have salvage recipes. This includes weapons. Bronze ingots drop from the bronze armor & gear.
Mod Compatibility:
If you run Endgame & QoL, I added patches to their versions of the Goblin Duke & Void Necromancer. Those mobs will drop their respective gear.
🍻 Recommended Mods (as of Update 5):
Advanced Armor Stand or any mod that adds in armor stand / mannequins to the game. Advanced armor stand is what I use now as it offers a huge variety of stands including the full size Trork mannequin.
Simple Item Displays adds in a variety of display cases, including some made by me!
Decorative Weapons & Shields adds the ability to transform weapons & shields into decorative items that can be wall mounted
Mob Trophies adds in statues & trophy heads for most of the mobs. Also inlcudes a Hytalor version so it is compatible with my mod.
Endgame & QoL - adds a ton of new content, highly recommended. The warden summons spawn the Burnt Wizard making it a lot easier to grind for his gear.
PJ Mob Events - Super fun as a late game mod, good way to grind some of the mob drops.
The Lost Garden - Shameless plug for my mod. Adds in all the wizards & all of the flowers (plus many new ones).
