Roulette Table

A working roulette table with animated wheel and sound effects, where players wager and risk items to win them back double, or 18x on green.

It works in single-player and is built to be safe on busy multiplayer servers.

HOW TO PLAY

Craft the Roulette Table at the Workbench (Tinkering tab).
Place the table in 5x2x2 area in your world.
Bet: hold any item/stack in hand and press Use (Interact) on RED, BLACK or GREEN.
Spin: press Use on the wheel. The ball lands after about 7 seconds.
Collect: winnings go straight into your inventory, paid in the same item you bet.

Changed your mind? Press (Interact) with an empty hand on a zone to take your bet back before the spin.

Payouts:
- RED (9 of 19 pockets): pays 2x your stake
- BLACK (9 of 19 pockets): pays 2x your stake
- GREEN (1 of 19 pockets): pays 18x your stake (jackpot)

FEATURES

-Bet any item: payouts are always in the item you wagered. Maximum Bet of 5 stacks or 5 different items per round.
- Multiplayer tables: several players can bet on the same spin, and each winner is paid into their own inventory.
- Fair results: every spin is rolled by the server with a secure random generator, and the ball always lands in the pocket that was rolled.
- Animated wheel and ball, glowing payout plaques on the winning zone, spin and win sounds, and a puff of void mist for lost bets.
- Jackpot celebration: a green hit sets off fireworks and a fanfare.
- Spin history: stats of the last 100 spins, with a coloured square for each result.

WHERE DO WINNINGS AND LOSSES GO?

There is no "house" and no bank behind the table. The table generates winnings itself: a 2x or 18x payout is created fresh by the table, so nobody has to fund it. Lost bets are destroyed: they are removed from the game, and no player, admin or server owner receives them.

This means a table never runs out of money, and players never lose items to whoever placed or owns the table.

CRAFTING

Workbench, Tinkering tab:
- 24 Wood
- 6 Gold Bars
- 6 Iron Bars
- 4 Linen Scraps
- 1 Emerald

BUILT FOR SERVERS

No lost items, ever. Open bets are saved to disk. If the server crashes, restarts or a player logs out mid-round, their items are returned the next time they join. Winnings are never dropped on the ground for others to grab.

Configuration
A config.json file is created the first time the server starts with the mod.
- Enabled: turns the roulette on or off for everyone.
- SpinMode: Manual (players press the wheel) or Auto (the wheel spins on a timer).
- AutoSpinSeconds: in Auto mode, how long after the first bet the wheel spins (e.g. 15 or 30).
- BannedPlayers: players who are not allowed to bet or spin.
- ItemDenyList: items nobody can bet. Wildcards work, e.g. Weapon_*
- MaxBetsPerPlayer: maximum stacks one player can bet on a table (default 5).
- MaxBetsPerTable: maximum stacks on one table in total (default 25).

Commands
- /roulette stats (everyone): show the last 100 results.
- /roulette ban <player> and /roulette unban <player> (admin): ban or unban a player from the roulette.
- /roulette banlist (admin): list banned players.
- /roulette enable and /roulette disable (admin): turn the roulette on or off for everyone.
- /roulette manual and /roulette auto [seconds] (admin): switch the spin mode.
- /roulette reload (admin): reload config.json after editing it by hand.
- /roulette cleanup (admin): recover stray bet items left by older versions.

Admin commands require the permission roulettetable.admin. Changes made with commands are saved to config.json automatically.

Tip for server owners: bets are whole stacks, and items with unique data (such as enchanted or damaged gear) keep that data when paid out. Add such items to ItemDenyList if you don't want them duplicated.

INSTALLATION & COMPATIBILITY

- Drop the .jar file into your Mods folder and start the game or server.
- Built and tested on Hytale 0.6.8 (works with 0.6.x).
- Hytale is still in active development, so a game update may require a new version of this mod.
