Village Spawn Point is a minimalistic mod which sets the spawn point of a new world to always be in the center of a village. The village chosen will be the one closest to x=0, z=0. The bonus chest world generation feature is compatible. If enabled, another bonus chest will be placed around the village spawn position.
Modded villages work as well, and you can choose which ones to spawn in via the config. Villages in the ocean are skipped by default.
When the closest village is underground, new players will start inside it instead of on the surface.
All available config options:
locateVillageTag default "#minecraft:village"
The village structures to spawn in, separated by a comma. Structure tags work too, starting with a '#'.
keepDefaultVillageTagBackup default true
If a custom value was entered in 'locateVillageTag' and no spawn point can be found, use '#minecraft:village' as a fallback value.
blacklistedVillageStructures default "repurposed_structures:village_ocean,repurposed_structures:village_mushroom,integrated_villages:airship_village"
Village structures that will never be used as the spawn point, separated by a comma. Structure tags work too, starting with a '#'.
maximumVillageSearchSeconds default 60, min 1, max 3600
How many seconds the mod may search for a village before using the default spawn point.
spawnNewPlayersInsideUndergroundVillages default true
Whether new players are teleported into the village when it is underground.
This mod is compatible with Biome Spawn Point.
You may freely use this mod in any modpack, as long as the download remains hosted within the CurseForge or Modrinth ecosystem.
