Pal Variants adds in multiple variants to each pal in the game.
A list of currently implemented pals can be found halfway down the post.
These Variants can be anything from coloration changes, material changes, or even texture changes.

Reason:

This mod was made with BOTH the Pokémon players AND the Ark players in mind.
There will be a minimum of 5 variants per pal. Each variant will have a rarity attached to it.
Most variants you will see within 20-30 minutes of casual non-grind gameplay, but when you're ready for the shiny hunting feeling you can try hunting down some of the rarer variants.
An example of how this works can be seen a bit further down.

Example Variants:

Update 0.6 has changed how rolls are handled. There are now two types of generation modes. IV or RNG. RNG will roll based of the pals UUID (something that can't be changed and is unique to each pal). This roll will be done 0-400 deciding the variant. This mode is a lot more random. Sometimes you will see constant normal looking pals. Other times you might come across a pack of 3 very rare variants. Alternatively IV mode which was used prior to 0.6 can be used to keep your existing pal and the same system. When pals are created by the game they roll 4 rolls between 0-100. This means It's a little harder to get normal pals and very rare pals. The most common pals you will see will be uncommon pals. This mode also helps you identify pal IVs without installing a mod that modifies the GUI.

Common variant is within 0-225 IV total / roll.
Uncommon variant is within 226-345 IV total / roll.
Rare variant is within 346-385 IV total / roll.
Very Rare variant is within 386-399 IV total / roll.
?̶̬̼̣̓?̷̀̍?̶̮̐͆̉͘ variant is for perfect IV total / roll.

Installation is really simple!
Simply download and setup the latest release of UE4SS. Detailed setup instructions can be found Here.
If you are just now installing your first Pak mod please also enable BPModLoaderMod found here: Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\Mods
To do this open the mods.txt file and change BPModLoaderMod line to BPModLoaderMod : 1
Once UE4SS is installed simply extract the latest version of this mod into your Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks folder.
Upon launching Palworld the mod should now be installed! 😄

Currently the future plan is a re-write of the mod to function far closer to how Ark handles coloring. This is due to the oversaturation of basic re-coloring mods and shiny mods. This one has fallen behind and needs a new breath of life. If you found those features the ones you like the most I suggest using a shiny mod or a recolor mod. :)

Pal Variants is multiplayer compatible right out of the box as of version 0.4b!
Simply have all players on the server install the mod because if they don't have it installed they will not be able to see the variants.
