Vannaka’s Wild Hunt
Vannaka’s Wild Hunt adds a complete repeatable bounty-hunting activity to RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
The loop is simple:
Choose a contract → find Tallow → follow the marked hunting area → defeat the quarry → return for your bounty → spend your Huntmaster Marks.
1. Take a contract from Vannaka
At the Huntmaster camp, interact with Vannaka’s Hunt Ledger.
The ledger is the main hub for the mod.
From here you can:
- view available contracts;
- accept a hunt;
- turn in a completed hunt;
- repeat completed contracts;
- open Vannaka’s supplies.
2. Check Vannaka’s field notes
The camp also contains Vannaka’s Huntmaster Notes.
These contain short information about the hunts and give context to the creatures you are tracking.

3. Meet Tallow, the Trail Scout
After taking a contract, find Tallow near the camp.
Tallow acts as your scout.
He tells you:
- where the creature was last seen;
- what signs to follow;
- what enemies are protecting it;
- when you are ready to begin the hunt.
For example, Grimhide’s trail leads to a guarded clearing before the quarry appears.
Choose Start the Hunt when you are ready.
4. Follow the marked hunting territory
Your active contract places a search area on the world map.
The circle tells you the territory where the hunt takes place.
Tallow gives you the actual trail and encounter information, so the mod is more than simply running directly to a boss marker.
5. Hunt the quarry
Each contract has its own encounter.
Bloodfang
Fight through the wolf pack and bring down Bloodfang, Alpha of the Wilds.
Rotbelly
Clear the fungal brood and face Rotbelly, the Blooming Maw.
Ashmaw
Flush the quarry from the scorched hunting ground and defeat Ashmaw, Hound of the Reach.
Grimhide
Fight through stalkers and ranged hunters before facing Grimhide, Crown of the Hunt.
The hunts become more dangerous as you progress.
6. Return and collect your bounty
Once the target is dead, return to the Huntmaster camp and settle the contract.
Rowan, Hunt Steward can also explain the hunting system and help point you in the right direction.
Completed hunts reward Huntmaster Marks.
7. Spend your Huntmaster Marks
Open Vannaka’s Huntmaster Exchange to spend the Marks you earn.
The shop includes useful hunting supplies and progression rewards such as:
- Iron Arrows;
- food;
- antipoison;
- bows;
- hunt materials;
- Crown rewards;
- Trial stock.
Stronger rewards become available as you complete more contracts.
Huntmaster Trial
Finish the main hunt progression to unlock the final Huntmaster Trial.
This is a harder mixed encounter designed to test what you learned from the previous contracts.
Complete it to earn additional Huntmaster rewards and unlock the final stock at Vannaka’s Exchange.
