Ultra Realistic Sleep Autonomy & Lot Loading

Sims now have realistic sleep autonomy without necessary intervention by the player. Sims are now asleep in bed after you load into their lot at night. Sims are now at work/school after you load into their lot during their work/school schedule.

Ultra Realistic Sleep Autonomy & Lot Loading tries to change Sims' sleeping behavior and make it feel as realistic and predictable as possible. URSALL also makes sure that Sims are asleep if you load into/visit a residential lot (or equivalent) at night. BONUS: Sims are now actually at work or at school if you load into/visit their lot around a time that matches their schedule.

Main functionalities:

1: Sims are now less inclined to take naps on public lots. They'll still take a nap when their energy need reaches a critical level. NPC Sims however, rather choose to go home when their energy level starts making them feel uncomfortable, instead of taking a nap in public.

2: Sims will now try to prevent taking a nap right before they would normally decide to go to bed even if their energy level is a bit lower. They understand they're going to bed soon anyway. They might have a coffee though! (The small energy boost this gives doesn't affect their desire to adhere to their logical sleep schedule). They will still take a nap or go to sleep earlier than you would expect if their energy need is so low that they start to feel uncomfortable.

3: If Sims want to go to sleep, they will take the time of day into consideration as well, not exclusively their energy level. They will also know if they have work/school in the morning or if they have a day off. They change their sleep schedule accordingly without any necessary intervention by the player. Deliberate exception: Babies, infants and toddlers will have their original sleeping behaviour. It's still the responsibilty of the parent or the player to make sure the youngest Sims are tucked in before the older Sims go to bed.

4: If the player cancels a Sim's autonomous decision to go to bed between 9PM and 12AM, they will not try again within 1 Sim hour. They understand that the player doesn't want them to go to bed yet. After 1 hour, they try again. They are still allowed to finish their possible current activity. The second autonomous sleep-interaction is not forced strongly. If the player cancels their decision for a second time, they understand that the player wants them to stay awake. They will not try to go to sleep anymore, unless their energy need reaches a low level that makes them feel uncomfortable. Different age groups react slightly differently to this functionality to make it feel more realistic. Children might decide to go to bed a bit earlier than their parents or other (young) adults. Teens a little later than the children but still earlier than their parents or other (young) adults. Elderly Sims might want to go to bed earlier than (young) adults but still later than children.

6: If Sims wake up during the night, for example because they are very hungry, have to take care of babies/infants/toddlers or have to go to the toilet, they automatically fulfill their need and go to bed again autonomously. They are also allowed to do something else for a very short while before returning, to simulate a "bad night" (only visual, no moodlets). For example: they might scroll their phone, watch the news or browse the web. This won't happen often. They'll still go back to bed again or immediately if the player cancels this specific activity. Deliberate exception: Intervention by the player during their nightly activity by giving them other tasks cancels their pending autonomy to return to bed.

7: Visiting Sims will now always choose to go home if their energy level reaches value that makes them feel uncomfortable, instead of taking a nap in your Sims' house or sleep in another Sim's bed uninvited. Guests who spend the night are excluded.

8: When returning home with a Sim at night or loading into a lot at night from Manage Worlds, present Sims will be asleep like you would expect in real life (if enough beds are available). Deliberate exception: A household that was saved during night time which the player loads back into later without any game time having passed, loads back into its last known state. Sims won't suddenly be asleep from one moment to the other.

9: When loading into a lot at night (from Manage Worlds or just by coming home at night with another Sim), any visitors who were there in the evening before you left, will no longer be present. Sleepovers or live-in service employees are excluded.

10: When visiting a residential lot at night with your Sim, the members of this household will actually be asleep. The Sim can still knock on the door, but this might wake someone up and they may not like it!

11: Sims who should be at work or at school when you load into a lot or visit with another Sim, are now actually at work or school. Workers recieve their full salary as if they had been at work all day (active household only). As of yet, it's NOT visible from Manage Worlds which Sims are at work/school when loading into a lot.

This mod is still under construction, but during play testing I have experienced much more realistic gameplay. The Sims 4 is a very large game and obviously many different combinations of situations can occur that may glitch the mod. They will never be severe. The only real thing that might happen is that a Sim reverts back to its old behaviour unwanted. No crashes or other major problems have occured.

Please let me know what you think of the mod and especially if you run into any bugs or glitches so I can fix them! This is an extensive all-in-1 mod that changes many aspects of Sims' sleeping behaviour.

Also, make sure you have no other mods installed which change Sims' autonomous sleeping/energy behavior. Mods that change bladder, hunger, or hygiene autonomy or need decay may affect this mod’s behavior, including nighttime wake-ups and need management. These combinations are not necessarily incompatible, but have not all been tested. Mods that change Sims' default spawn locations on the lot on arrival/load-in, or mods that override/influence the vanilla calendar system (Seasons EP), can be overridden or influenced by this mod or vice versa.

Manual installation:

Extract the zip file in your Sims 4 Mods folder. Make sure the .script file is a maximum of one folder deep. Also, be certain the files of any previous version are properly overwritten or removed from your Mods folder.
