Vanguard Gameplay plugs into the Framework and is discovered automatically (no mods.txt entry needed). ✅ Works on Steam & Game Pass.

✨ What is it?

Vanguard Gameplay bundles dozens of game settings into four ready-to-use presets. Instead of typing a pile of individual commands, you pick a vibe and apply it instantly — speed, energy, machines, chests, tools and more, all tuned together. You can also save and load your own custom setups.

How Vanguard Gameplay works

Build Anywhere

Removes proximity restrictions on placeables (beehives, animal shelters, pens, coops, troughs, windmills, sky turbines, decorative mills). Place things where you want them.

Open the in-game console (~) and type:

📦 Installation

Required: install Vanguard Framework and make sure it loads.
Copy the VanguardGameplay/ folder into ue4ss/Mods/ (Win64 on Steam, WinGDK on Game Pass).
Launch the game — the Framework discovers the addon automatically. No mods.txt entry required.
Open the console (~) and type vf gameplay default to get started.

🔧 How it works: Vanguard Gameplay doesn't register its own console handlers. Its vanguard_api.lua is loaded by the Framework via loadfile, runs inside the Framework's Lua context, and receives the VF API directly. Your saved slots live in VanguardGameplay/saves.lua (a human-readable Lua table).

🚧 In active development

Solarpunk launched on June 8, 2026, and both the game and these mods are updated frequently. Preset values may be rebalanced between versions — see the changelog for details. Found a bug? Please report it in the comments.
