Description

Reckon

Reckon is a lightweight, "Details!"-inspired live damage and healing meter for The Elder Scrolls Online.

It accurately tracks your own DPS and HPS, shows individual group members when shared combat data is available, and estimates the remaining group damage when it isn't.

Features

  • Accurate personal DPS/HPS — reads your own combat events directly, including player-pet and companion damage.
  • Per-player breakdown — shows a class-coloured bar and real character name for group members whose combat data is being shared through LibGroupCombatStats.
  • Smart "Unknown" estimate — estimates damage from group members who are not sharing, based on target health loss.
  • Healing mode — switch between damage and healing to see HPS and shared effective healing.
  • Per-ability drill-down — click your own bar to see your abilities ranked by damage or healing.
  • Fight history — review completed fights and switch between previous encounters and the current fight.
  • DPS / total mode — display damage or healing per second, or the accumulated total for the entire fight.
  • Details!-style interface — class colours, ranked bars, top-performer scaling, dark background, compact header/footer, and a settings cog.
  • Live updates — updates continuously during combat with an optional end-of-fight chat summary.
  • Standalone fallback — works without the shared combat libraries, automatically falling back to personal DPS/HPS and group-estimate functionality.

Installation

  1. Download the latest Reckon file.

  2. Extract the Reckon folder into your ESO AddOns directory:

    • Windows: Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\
    • Mac: ~/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/AddOns/
  3. Start ESO and enable Reckon under Add-Ons.

  4. Reload the UI with /reloadui.

  5. Type /reckon to show or hide the meter.

  6. Type /reckon test to display sample data while configuring the window.

LibAddonMenu-2.0 is bundled with Reckon, so the graphical settings panel works without a separate LibAddonMenu installation.

Optional Libraries

Reckon does not require the following libraries to run:

  • LibGroupCombatStats
  • LibCombat
  • LibGroupBroadcast

Without them, Reckon still provides your own DPS/HPS and its group-estimate functionality.

These libraries are only needed for per-player shared combat data. LibGroupCombatStats uses LibCombat and LibGroupBroadcast for that functionality.

The easiest way to install them is through Minion.

After installing them, use:

/reckon status

to check whether Reckon can detect the shared-data system.

How to Use

  • /reckon — show or hide the meter
  • /reckon settings — open the settings panel
  • /reckon mode — switch between per-player and group-estimate views
  • /reckon heal — switch between damage and healing
  • /reckon total — switch between per-second and whole-fight totals
  • /reckon abilities — open your ability breakdown
  • /reckon history — view older completed fights
  • /reckon live — return to the current fight
  • /reckon status — diagnose shared combat libraries
  • /reckon resetdelay <seconds> — configure how long results persist between pulls
  • /reckon lock / /reckon unlock — lock or unlock the window
  • /reckon reset — reset the window position
  • /reckon scale <number> — change UI scale
  • /reckon test — display sample data

You can also click the DMG/HEAL, DPS/TOT, PLY/GRP, history, and settings controls directly in the header.

Compatibility

  • Designed for PC and Mac ESO.
  • Works alongside Hodor Reflexes and other addons using LibGroupCombatStats.
  • Reckon uses LibGroupCombatStats for shared combat data rather than implementing its own combat-data broadcast system.
  • Shared per-player data is only available when the relevant libraries and group members' sharing systems are present.

Important Notes

Personal damage and healing: Your own combat data is measured directly from ESO combat events.

Other players: ESO does not provide your client with detailed combat events for other players. Individual numbers therefore require shared combat data.

Group estimate: When individual data is unavailable, Reckon estimates the remainder using target health loss. This is most useful against a single boss or target dummy and can be unreliable with multiple targets, trash packs, or situations where health changes for reasons other than group damage.
