Recipe Pinner A lightweight, essential quality-of-life mod for Valheim that lets you pin crafting, building, and cooking recipes directly to your HUD. Track required materials and amounts in real-time as you gather, smelt, and explore—no more running back to your workbench just to check ingredients.

Features

Pin Any Recipe: Pin crafting bench, forge, cooking pot, and piece-building recipes directly from the crafting menu. Live Material Tracking: Dynamically counts matching materials in your inventory against the required amounts (e.g., Wood: 12/20, Iron: 4/10).
Multi-Recipe Pinning: Pin multiple recipes at once with automatic vertical stacking on the HUD.
Auto-Complete Indicator: Changes text color or displays an icon once all required materials are collected.
Customizable HUD Widget: Configure on-screen position, scale, opacity, and text size via configuration files.
Unpin on Craft: Automatically unpins or clears completed tasks when you forge or build the pinned item.

How to Use

Open any crafting station (Workbench, Forge, Cooking Station, etc.) or open your Build Menu.
Select an item recipe.
Click the Pin Recipe button (or press the configured hotkey, default: Middle Mouse Button or F).
The recipe HUD widget will appear on your screen tracking your inventory counts in real time.
Click Unpin on the station UI or toggle it off from your HUD whenever you are done.

Configuration

A configuration file is generated at BepInEx/config/RecipePinner.cfg after running the game once with the mod installed:
HUD Position: Adjust screen coordinates (X, Y) or drag the HUD while holding Left Alt.
Hotkeys: Change pin/unpin shortcuts.
Display Settings: Toggle background opacity, text scaling, and completed recipe auto-removal.

Installation Manual Installation

Install BepInExPack Valheim.
Download the latest release of Recipe Pinner.
Extract RecipePinner.dll into your Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/ directory.
Launch the game.

Mod Manager Installation

Click Install with Mod Manager via Thunderstore or r2modman.

Compatibility

Save-Game Safe: Can be added or removed at any time without corrupting character or world saves.
Client-Side Only: Works on dedicated servers without requiring server-side installation.
Compatible with custom item and recipe mods that utilize standard Recipe and Piece data definitions.
