About PLUGIN

Each plugin add new features, and can be enabled or disabled as needed. Some have settings, can be set in 'Gear' Settings and profile. If plugin have addon dependency and don't find him, the plugin set to off automatically.

Plugins DESCRIPTION

Durability
- Stay informed about items durability.
- Setting in 'Gear' Settings, you see durability for all profiles and show a visual alarm If an item state is below or equal to a specified percentage.

HOWTO

For 'Durability' in 'Gear' Settings panel we have some options..

'Durability Alarm <' (set % to trigger visual alarm if equal/below this percentage).
'Show Durability in %' (use % to see item state in Profile Durability tooltip).
'Item Location' (see item location in Profile Durability tooltip).
'Item Progress Bar' (see a progress bar for each item in profile).

About Optimisation, we not use a 'Progress Bar Control' for each item but use Pixies.

HoloSwap
- Profiles selector.
- Setting in 'Gear' Settings and profile, you can quickly see all profiles created and select what you want. You can create many category to store your profiles.

HOWTO

For 'HoloSwap' in 'Gear' Settings panel we have some options..
1. 'Hide profiles after select.' (hide dropdownlist after click or back in category list after click).
2. 'Hide in combat.' (hide/show 'HoloSwap' button with combat state)
3. 'Use category.' (show or not category in dropdownlist).
You can custom all colors, open 'HoloSwap' setting in 'Gear' Settings panel.
To create a new category just open the setting in each profile, you can delete, rename, associate any category.
After rename, delete a category all profiles linked are adjusted with news modifications.
Category name have some restrictions, no space before/after (removed automatically), no blank name, no same name. After create or rename you do validate by ENTER key.
'HoloSwap' list is updated in real time after any change with profiles (renamed, created, deleted).
To show/hide profile/category just click 'HoloSwap' button.
To move 'HoloSwap' button Hold CTRL and and left mouse click and drag everywhere.
To enter in category use left mouse click, to equip profile use left mouse click, to back in category use right mouse click in profile name.
All profiles no linked to a category are visible in same category level.
After equip a profile (with 'HoloSwap' or other trigger) you see status to inform player if all items were properly equipped.
- In button you see 'the profile name', color is green(profile equipped and selected).
- In button you see 'the profile name', color is red(some items not equipped, check your profile).
- In button yous see a '?', color is red(profile is not selected, if you equip another item you can't use update dialog box).

Costumes
- Associate a profile to a costume, you have also the choice to not use any costume or use equipped items skin.
- Setting in each profile, compatible with 'CostumeNames' v3.4 or higher. Select costume in dropdownlist.

HOWTO

Equip correctly a costume associated with a profile ?

Just set a costume for your profile, nothing else. But remember you do wait 15 seconds to see the new costume, is a API restriction.

Title
- Associate a profile to a title, you have also the choice to clear title or keep previous title.
- Setting in 'Gear' Settings, you can hide or show title category in dropdownlist.

Mount
- Use a profile with your mount, after unmount you go back in previous profile.
- Setting in 'Gear' Settings and profile, you can only associate a single profile.

UI
- Show 'Gear' user interface in 'Character' window or in stand alone window.
- No setting, by default is actived, turning off to use stand alone mode.

Watermark
- Add watermark 'Tooltip' to identify each item from profile.
- No setting.

Items Secure
- Secure profiles against items loss to prevent salvage, delete and sell.
- Setting in 'Gear' Settings, compatible with 'ForgeUI' v0.4.4d, 'KuronaBags' v4.1.1, 'SpaceStash' vb33 or higher.

Builder
- Associate a LAS 'Builder' profile with a 'Gear' profile.
- Setting in each profile, compatible with 'Builder' v0.4 or higher. Select a LAS 'Builder' profile in dropdownlist (updated in real time) after if you trigger equipment switch with 'Gear' this load associate 'Builder' profile. LAS Mod is automaticlly locked to LAS Auto if the plugin is enabled.

OptiPlates
- Associate a 'OptiPlates' profile with a 'Gear' profile.
- Setting in each profile, compatible with 'OptiPlates' v3.2 or higher. Select a 'OptiPlates' profile in dropdownlist (updated in real time) after if you trigger equipment switch with 'Gear' or partner addon this load associate 'OptiPlates' profile.

OneVersion
- Send information to 'OneVersion'.
- No setting, compatible with 'OneVersion' v1.0.0 or higher.
Armory
- Export profile to 'Wildstar Armory' Web format.
- Setting in each profile, compatible with 'Armory' v0.3.2 or higher.
Chat
- Send profile or item to a Chat Channel.
- No Setting, right mouse click in profile field name or item and select chat channel from popup list to send link(s).

HOWTO

SEND LINK from items profile in Chat window ?

Right mouse click on profile name field or single item and select chat channel. With Whisper and Account Whisper you do write the player name in dialog box and validate with ENTER key.

Core Plugins HOWTO

ENABLED or DISABLED plugin ?

Open 'Gear' settings, all plugins enabled have a blue name, grey for disabled. Click icon to the right of plugin name to toggle.
Each plugin is an addon you can also enable/disable in addon settings panel.

See plugin DESCRIPTION ?

Mouse over right plugin icon to see information.

See if plugin have a PROFILE SETTING and/or TOOLTIP INFORMATION ?

All plugins with a special icon have setting/tooltip for each profile, in top profile you see all setting buttons from plugins.

Core Feature HOWTO

OPEN 'Gear' panel ?

Use command /gear
Use bottom menu and select.

OPEN 'Gear' Settings ?

Use command /gear sett
Press ESC key to show Options panel and select 'Gear' button.
Left mouse click in settings button in 'Gear' panel.

Create NEW PROFILE ?

Open 'Gear' panel.
Unselect profile (if you see a green name this is a selected profile, just click the unselect button 'Gear' panel ), if you do not deselected when you equip an new item it will offer to update the selected profile.
Equip items.
And Left mouse click the cross button, this create a new profile with all equipped items and a default name.

UNSELECT a profile ?

Use command /gear unselect
Left mouse click in unselect button (circle with cross) inside 'Gear' panel.

RENAME a profile ?

Left mouse click on the name field and set new name.

Tips: You can edit and change as many times as you want the name, it's just a nickname.

SEE ITEMS profile ?

Left mouse click on the blue bar (toggle) under the name, it will display the items of the profile, by passing the mouse on each object you see the comparison with the current equipment.

Tips: You can quickly open/close all preview items panel if you use the button 'Collapse All' (toggle) in the left of 'Lock' button.

DELETE a profile ?

Unlock profiles and left mouse click the red cross.

Tips: You can lock the profiles to prevent accidental erasure, just use the 'Lock' button (toggle) in top of the profiles list.

EQUIP a profile ?

Use the equip button.

Use a macro.
- 'Gear' works in the following manner using the /gear (space and any profile number, sample : /gear 1) to equip a profile. Once your profile created a new macro is automatically associated, by making a left click on the equip button, drag and drop the macro in a free slot bar, this will create an icon with macro.
Use a partner addon. Take a look to 'Builder' addon page.
Use plugin 'Gear_HoloSwap'.

IDENTIFY ITEMS profile in bag and bank ?

In item tooltip top you see the profile name.

Tips: If item is part of many equipment you will see the name of all profiles.

LOCALISATION status ?

Equip button status show 3 colors for..
- Green - All items from profile are equipped or in bag.
- Blue - Some items from profile are in bank.
- Red - Some items from profile are missing.

Use LAS with a profile ?

To select the LAS MOD just click the LAS text, this a cycling toggle.
To select LAS, right mouse click in equip button, and select LAS number in popup menu.

There will be three way to switch the profile. Triggering the change by profile only or the profile/LAS in both way or by partner addon.

LAS Unique : You can assign a unique LAS to a profile. If you use this you can switch LAS with triggering the change by profile or switch profile by triggering LAS.
LAS Multiple : You can assign the same LAS for several profile. If you use this you can only switch to desired LAS with triggering the change by profile.
LAS Auto : If you use partner addon to link LAS to a specific 'Gear' profile, this mod is automatically used, you can't select LAS in 'Gear'.

Tips: You can use partner addon 'Builder' to create many LAS profile to use with 'Gear' profile.

General FAQ

'Gear' is a stand alone addon ?

YES, don't replace any other addons.

I have see 'Gear' panel inside 'Character' window, 'Gear' replace 'Character' addon ?

NO, but we add 'Gear' panel inside 'Character' window, nothing else.

I have another equipment manager, can i use 'Gear' with this other addon running?

NO, you can't use many equipment manager in same time, because this make trouble, just turn off other equipment manager addon.

I don't really understand why i do unselect a profile ?

UNSELECT or SELECT profile is used to update functions, 'Gear' do know all the time if you have a profile equipped to offer the update dialog box if you equip another item. You do unselect profile if you want equip other items but don't want update actual profile equipped, like to create another profile.

I have created many profiles, i do save now or wait to log off ?

Is recommended to save now, if you don't save and you have a problem, you lose all profiles created. A quick way to save profiles is to click the red bottom button in 'Gear' panel, this make a RELOADUI.

Currently i use another equipment manager addon, why switch to 'Gear' ?

'Gear' try to make players life easy, all update is not a simple API number change, this a real update with some tweak and BUG solved.
Really user friendly, not perfect but like a wine with the time he become much better.

'Items Secure' no longer locks clicks on inventory items.
Add 'Settings' window (ESC key), actually some option for:
- 'Items Secure'(see 'How to' in Curse for détail) . You can enable/disable each option, but 'Items Secure' button from 'Gear' panel allows you to use or not all option enable.
- 'Mount' , don't use LAS from mount Set (you keep always your previous LAS).

About Items Secure
This option prevent user to Salvage, Delete or Sell any Set Item.

Salvage:
Player can't Salvage Set Item with drop item in Salvage Inventory button and we don't see Set Item in Salvage window.
Delete:
Player can't Delete Set Item with drop outside Inventory or drop in Inventory Trash button.
Sell:
Player can't sell Set Item, all Inventory items are locked (you can't click inside item) if Vendor window is open and we don't see Set Item in Vendor window list.

Add LAS Drop 2

There will be two way to switch the Set . By triggering the change by the Equipment only or the (Equipment/LAS in both way).

- (Drop 1): By the LAS will have a unique LAS assigned to a equipment, never twice the same LAS. (Actually used).

- (Drop 2): By the equipment we can associate the same LAS several times. (Useful if we have several set which uses the same LAS) .

Add toggle option for use LAS Unique(Drop 1) or LAS Multiple (Drop 2).
Add function to prevent delete Set Items.

- Player can't Salvage Set Item(with Drop in Salvage button).
- Player can't Delete Set Item(with Drop outside Inventory or Drop in Trash button).

Now after esc/closed/toggle 'character' panel and have unselect Set, the default Set selected is the previous Set equiped.

After decline or close update dialog, unequip item is equipped.
New Set created is selected by default.

You can now link a costume for each 'Gear' profile.
Added update dialog box after add in free slot or replace an item of actual 'Gear' equipped
Now we see in 'Gear' panel what the selected/equipped profile(the name is green).

Add LAS Link(Drop one) you can switch equipment with associated LAS by triggering LAS or Equipment..
There will be two way to change the Gear . By triggering the change by the Equipment or the LAS.
(Drop one ): By the LAS will have a unique LAS assigned to a equipment. never twice the same LAS.
(Drop two): By the equipment we can associate the same LAS several times. (Useful if we have several set which uses the same LAS) Soon..
