Forever Discovery Log
Build your own WoW Forever database by actually exploring the world.
the world is unknown until you discover it
Forever Discovery Log is designed around WoW Forever’s spirit of exploration. As you visit zones, encounter creatures, and discover loot, your journal grows into a record of the world you’ve experienced.
Find an unfamiliar piece of equipment? Discover materials while gathering? Uncover loot in a dungeon with your group? Those discoveries become knowledge you can return to and share with fellow adventurers.
Your journal starts with room for discovery.
- Learn by exploring. Discover zones, level ranges and dungeons as you visit them. Record observed loot from creatures, dungeon encounters, and gathering sources.
- Keep your findings organized. Browse equipment, crafting materials, and other items by location and source.
- Find what you’ve learned. Search recorded items to revisit their known sources. Search will show you what zone/dungeon and what mob drops the item, just in case you forgot.
- Discover together. Exchange personal discoveries with other addon users in your group. Shared findings are labeled, so you can distinguish what others taught you from what you’ve observed yourself.
(how you share information is still being tested, right now you pick what information you want to receive “World Discoveries” or “Dungeon Discoveries”, then you give/receive a 10 digit code and you will get 1 random discovery; items, equipment, or crafted material from a zone/dungeon you are currently sharing)
The idea is simple: preserve the excitement of finding something new while giving you a useful way to remember it. A quiet afternoon gathering, a lucky drop, or a dungeon run with friends can all add another piece to your journal.
Only record what you discover. Share what you learn. Build your knowledge by playing.
Currently in development for the WoW Forever beta. Recording depends on the information the game makes available; the journal records observed drops.
