Forever Map Fix

Forever Map Fix provides fallback world-map textures for World of Warcraft: Forever Beta clients affected by missing or broken localized map assets.

It allows players to keep their preferred client language while replacing affected map textures with bundled fallback versions.

Features

Works across client locales, including zhCN, zhTW, ruRU, enUS, and others

Does not change your WoW interface language

Provides fallback textures for known missing or broken world-map FileDataIDs

Supports the main World Map and several Blizzard MapCanvas-based interfaces

Includes simple diagnostic commands for testing during the Forever Beta

Commands

/fmap
Shows the addon status and current client locale.

/fmap debug
Shows additional diagnostic information including locale, current map ID, fallback tile count, and client build.

/cnmap
Compatibility alias for /fmap.

Why this addon exists

During the WoW: Forever Beta, some localized clients may display missing world-map assets, including the well-known solid green map issue.

Forever Map Fix supplies fallback map tiles without requiring players to switch the entire game client to English or another locale.

Because Forever is currently in beta, Blizzard may fix the underlying map assets in a future build. This addon may therefore become unnecessary once the issue is fixed upstream.
